(J'espère poster sur le bon forum, car ça me semblait trop ciblé pour entrer dans "Divers").

Bref, bonjours à tous. Après quelques recherches infructueuses sur le net et dans les archives du forum (peut-être que je m'y prends comme un pied, c'est fort possible), je n'ai pas trouver de réponse à ma question.

Donc, quelle est la hiérarchie militaire au Japon ? Avant la défaite de 1945 mais aussi pour la JSDF.

Japanese Naval Glossary

Here is a brief list--just a few terms for now; no more than a teaser of things to come. In its final form, this glossary will include most of the IJN-specific terms found in a large USN dictionary that was issued just before the end of WW2, plus many citings I have run across in my researching of the IJN, both its hardware and its "software."

吋 (いんち) Inch.

右舷 (うげん) Starboard.

桜花 (おうか) Ohka; a rocket-powered suicide plane (called the Baka Bomb by the Allies) developed at the end of WW2.

海軍記念日 (かいぐんきねんび) Navy Day; 27 May; the day commemorating Togo's victory over the Russian Baltic fleet at Tsushima in the Russo-Japanese War.

海軍大学校 (かいぐんだいがっこう) Naval War College; located in Meguro (Tokyo).

海軍兵学校 (かいぐんへいがっこう) Naval Academy; located in Etajima.

海大 (かいだい) Naval War College; abbreviation of 海軍大学校.

回天 (かいてん) Kaiten; one- or two-manned midget suicide submarine.

海兵 (かいへい) Naval Academy; abbreviation of 海軍兵学校.

海防艦 (かいぼうかん) 1. Escort. 2. Coast defense ship (when applied to older ship).

浬 (かいり) Nautical mile.

艦橋 (かんきょう) Bridge.

乾舷 (かんげん) Freeboard.

艦攻 (かんこう) Abbreviation of 艦上攻撃機

艦載機 (かんさいき) Carrier-borne plane.

艦首 (かんしゅ) Bow.

艦上攻撃機 (かんじょうこうげきき) Carrier(-borne) attack plane.

艦上攻撃機隊 (かんじょうこうげききたい) Carrier(-borne) attack plane unit.

艦上戦闘機 (かんじょうせんとうき) Carrier-borne fighter.

艦上偵察機 (かんじょうていさつき) Carrier(-borne) reconnaissance plane.

艦上爆撃機 (かんじょうべくげきき) Carrier(-borne) bomber.

艦戦 (かんせん) Abbreviation of 艦上戦闘機.

艦偵 (かんてい) Abbreviation of 艦上偵察機.

艦尾 (かんび) Stern.

機関銃 (きかんじゅう) Machine gun.

菊紋章 (きくもんしょう) Imperial Crest; Chrysanthamum Crest. Only warships of the IJN that were classified as 軍艦 had this crest on their bows.

吃水 (きっすい) Draft.

魚雷 (ぎょらい) Torpedo.

魚雷発射管 (ぎょらいはっしゃかん) Torpedo tube; torpedo launcher.

空母 (くうぼ) Aircraft carrier.

駆逐艦 (くちくかん) Destroyer.

呉 (くれ) Naval base, located near Hiroshima.

呉鎮 (くれちん) Kure Naval District, headquarters located near Hiroshima.

軍艦 (ぐんかん) Warship; only gunkan had their bow decorated with the Imperial Crest. Not all Japanese navy vessels, were classed as gunkan.

軍艦マーチ (ぐんかんまーち) Warship March. A march that was the trademark of the IJN, much like Anchors Aweigh symbolizes the USN. It is to this day played by the JMSDF bands, and has sadly been adopted by pachinko parlors, to both attract customers and encourage them to lose more money faster in their machines.

軍港 (ぐんこう) Naval port.

軍紳 (ぐんしん) War god, in the sense of someone who is virtually diefied because of valor in war. An example would be Cdr. Hirose Takeo who, in the Russo-Japanese War, placed himself at danger and ultimately died because of his desire to rescue a subordinate from a sinking ship. The IJN's public relations effort that followed engraved Hirose in the minds of all Japanese, and especially young Japanese (partly via a Ministry of Education approved song) as the first gunshin.

軍令部 (ぐんれいぶ) Naval General Staff.

軍令部総長 (ぐんれいぶそうちょう) [IJN] Naval Chief of General Staff.

軽巡 (けいじゅん) Light cruiser; abbreviation of 軽巡洋艦.

軽巡洋艦 (けいじゅんようかん) Light cruiser; Japanese translation of the English term, differing from the offiical Japanese term.

係留機雷 (けいりゅうきらい) Moored mine.

下駄ぶね (げたぶね) [Sl.] River gunboat (from the shape, broadbeamed with a very shallow draft).

元帥 (げんすい) Fleet admiral.

憲兵 (けんぺい) Military police.

高角砲 (こうかくほう) High-angle gun; dual-purpose gun.

航空母艦 (こうくうぼかん) Aircraft carrier; normally abbreviated to 空母.

後檣 (こうしょう) Aftmast.

号令 (ごうれい) Command; usually an audible command, including marching commands and bugle calls.

コレス (これす) [Sl.] The relationship of being in the same (corresponding) graduating class but at different schools.

左舷 (さげん) Port.

捧げ銃 (ささげつつ) Present Arms; a drill command.

サンチ (サンチ) Centimeter(s); standard IJN rendering of what most civilians and military now call センチ; often seen in designations for naval guns.

三連装 (さんれんそう) Erroneous pronunciation of 三連装 (さんれんそう).

士官 (しかん) Officer.

士官兵 (しかんへい) Officers and enlisted men.

就役 (しゅうえき) Commissioning (of a ship).

重巡洋艦 (じゅうじゅんようかん) Heavy cruiser; Japanese translation of the English term, differing from the offiical Japanese term.

主砲 (しゅほう) Main gun; main battery.

巡検 (じゅんけん) Roving inspection.

竣工 (しゅんこう) Completion (a ship).

少尉 (しょうい) Ensign.

焼夷弾 (しょういだん) Incendiary shell; incendiary bomb.

焼夷爆弾 (しょういばくだん) Incendiary bomb.

少佐 (しょうさ) Leiutenant commander.

少将 (しょうしょう) Rear admiral.

小破 (しょうは) Slight damage (e.g., as inflicted on a ship in battle).

水交社 (すいこうしゃ) Navy Officers' Association. Established in 1876 as a social group for navy officers, with headquarters in Shiba in Tokyo and branches at naval ports. Incorporated in 1928, with a member of the Imperial family as a Chairman and the Navy Minister as President. Members included naval officers, officer candidates, high-level civilian officials, who donated 1/100 of thier salaries to cover operating costs. Abolished by order of the occupation forces on 5 December 1945.

垂線間長 (すいせんかんちょう) Length between parallels.

水偵 (すいてい) Reconnaissance floatplane.

水雷屋 (すいらいや) [Sl.] someone in the torpedo division

正規空母 (せいきくうぼ) Purpose-built aircraft carrier (as opposed to either a merchant ship or navy ship of another class that was converted to a carrier).

戦艦 (せんかん) Battleship.

前檣 (ぜんしょう) Foremast.

潜水艦 (せんすいかん) Submarine.

潜水母艦 (せんすいぼかん) Submarine tender.

糎 (せんち) Centimeter.

掃海艇 (そうかいてい) Minesweeper.

装甲 (そうこう) Armor.

側距儀 (そっきょぎ) Rangefinder.

大尉 (たいい) Leiutenant.

大佐 (たいさ) Captain.

大将 (たいしょう) Admiral.

大破 (たいは) Heavy damage (e.g., inflicted on a ship in battle).

大本営 (だいほんえい) Imperial Headquarters

探照灯 (たんしょうとう) Searchlight.

端艇 (たんてい) Boat.

着水 (ちゃくすい) Landing (of an aircraft on water).

着弾観測 (ちゃくだんかんそく) Spotting.

着艦 (ちゃっかん) To land (on an aircraft carrier).

中尉 (ちゅうい) Lieutenant junior grade.

中佐 (ちゅうさ) Commander.

中将 (ちゅうじょう) Vice admiral.

中破 (ちゅうは) Moderate damage (e.g., as inflicted on a ship in battle).

鎮守府 (ちんじゅふ) [IJN] Naval District

電探 (でんたん) Abbreviation of 電波探信儀; radar.

電波探信儀 (でんぱたんしんぎ) Radar; often abbreviated to 電探.

統帥権 (とうすいけん) Supreme (Imperial) authority; the principle, taken from the Meiji Constitution, used often by the IJA to justify their actions on the grounds that orders from them are to be taken as orders from the Emperor himself.

特務艦 (とくむかん) Auxiliary; auxiliary ship.

特務駆潜艇 (とくむくせんてい) Auxiliary subchaser.

噸 (とん) Ton.

南雲忠一 (なぐもちゅういち)

日本海海戦 (にほんかいかいせん) Battle of Tsushima (Russo-Japanese War). Almost never referred to as the Battle of Tsushima in Japanese (and that name often merely evokes confused looks from listeners).

排水量 (はいすいりょう) Displacement.

爆雷 (ばくらい) Depth charge.

派遣隊 (はけんたい) Detachment.

発艦 (はっかん) To take off (from an aircraft carrier).

毘式 (びしき) Vickers type; designation for machine guns adopted by the IJN.

尾栓 (びせん) Breech.

広瀬武夫 (ひろせたけお) Famous figure in the Russo-Japanese War. Captain Hirose's heroic death during the second attempt to blockade Port Arthur was used to great advantage by the IJN's public relations people. A subsequent song about the incident became the first song to be officially selected by the Ministry of Education for singing in schools.

敷設艦 (ふせつかん) Minelayer.

分隊 (ぶんたい) 1. [IJN] Division (administrative subdivision of a shore unit or a ship complement). 2. [Naval air] Administrative subdivision of an Air Group (航空隊) complement. 3. [Naval air] Tactical air unit, normally consisting of two planes; a subdivision of a 小隊 in an air group.

分隊下士官 (ぶんたいかしかん) 1. [IJN] Division petty officer. 2. [Naval air] Buntai Commander

分隊士 (ぶんたいし) 1. [IJN] Assistant division officer. 2. [Naval air] Assistant Buntai Commander.

分隊長 (ぶんたいちょう) Division officer.

兵科 (へいか) 1. Line Branch (re commissioned and Special Duty officers). 2. Seaman branch (re warrant officers and below).

海軍作戦部長 (べいかいぐんさくせんぶちょう) Chief of Naval Operations (translated from US title)

兵学校 (へいがっこう) See 海軍兵学校.

兵器 (へいき) Ordnance.

兵装 (へいそう) Weapons.

兵曹長 (へいそうちょう)

砲艦 (ほうかん) Gunboat.

保式 (ほしき) Hotchkiss type; designation for machine guns adopted by the IJN.

舞鶴 (まいずる) [Pl.] Naval port.

粍 (みり) Millimeter.

三連装 (みれんそう) Triple mount; used in referring to naval ordnance, including torpedo launchers; often (erroneously) referred to as さんれんそう.

靖国神社 (やすくにじんじゃ) Yasukuni Shrine. A Shinto shrine, in central Tokyo, dedicated to the war dead, and the subject of much political argument, some of it centering about the issue of whether Diet members should visit the shrine in their official capacity. In addition to a number of ceremonies held throughout the year, each spring during the peak of the cherry blossom season, the shrine holds a gathering to sing war songs. I have participated twice in this gathering, which begins with a raising of a cup of sake to the spirit (御霊) of the war dead (all participants are directed to face in the direction of the place where they are enshrined), followed by about one hour of rousing war songs.

si tu te trouves au Japon, tu peux trouver l'almanach annuel des forces armées japonaises terrestre notamment (celui de cette année était trés bien fait)

Je pense que la librairie Junku à Paris dispose de ce type d'ouvrage.

Je te conseille vivement, si tu ne les connais pas déjà, les ouvrages de la collection military Osprey. Les meilleurs spécialistes, historiens et illustrateurs se penchent sur toutes les époques et civilsations, avec force détails à l'appui. Il existe forcément un livre consacré à cette hierarchie, puisque tout est couvert sans exception.
Je sais que celui consacré au Japon féodal s'intitule "Samuraï warlords".
